Gold has smartly moved up on China seizing a U. S. drown. The probability of the situation escalating is very low. For this reason this is not a trigger to buy gold. However this was a trigger earlier to book partial profits on some of our precious metal short positions. Depending up on the quantity held, consider taking profits on one-third of the remaining position in CDE, HMY and ABX.
