APPLE PATENT VICTORY AGAINST HTC DOESN’T CRIPPLE GOOGLE’S ANDROID
The U.S. International Commission (ITC) ruled today that HTC has infringed claims 1 and 8 of the ‘647 patent on system and method for performing an action on a structure in computer-generated data held by Apple(AAPL).
ITC has banned the importation of infringing HTC phones in the U.S. HTC phones run on Google (GOOG) Android system. The ban will go into effect on April 19, 2012. The ban is subject to residential veto. In my opinion, there is no chance of a veto from President Obama.
