Apple (AAPL) had just kicked Google’s (GOOG) $12.5 billion dollar boy, Motorola Mobility (MMI), right where it hurts winning a major legal battle.
Google is paying about $12.5 billion to buy Motorola Mobility. According to Google, it has bought Motorola Mobility for its 17,000 patents. Google has been bolstering its patent portfolio as it battles Apple in the mobile markets.
In Germany, Munich Regional Court has ruled that Motorola’s phones infringe Apple’s slide-to-unlock patent
This is a major victory for Apple. Apple can use this decision against all Android vendors.
