If you’re in the market for a smartphone, wait for the Apple(AAPL) iPhone 5 and do not buy the new Android flagship Samsung (SSNGY) Galaxy S III, so saysTerry Gou, according to Focus Taiwan.
It pays to listen to Terry Gou, as he is no ordinary commentator. Gou is the chairman of Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Hon Hai is the parent of Foxconn, the company that manufacturers iPhones for Apple.
According to Gou, iPhone 5 will put Samsung Galaxy S III to shame. Of course, he’s the guy who will be making money when his company makes those iPhone 5 devices.
Samsung Galaxy S III is Android’s latest flagship designed to suck oxygen out of the phone marketplace ahead of the iPhone 5 launch, which is presumably in October.
Galaxy S III has won rave reviews. The phone runs the latest version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich. The phone is lighter and thinner than iPhone 4S. The screen is a beautiful 4.8 inch. The international version uses a quad core chip, but the U.S. version uses a dual core.
Samsung also has a worthy opponent to Apple Siri. S-Voice from Samsung is a voice assistant that is integrated in Galaxy S III.
Samsung has also accomplished a remarkable feat in launching S III on all four major U.S. carriers at the same time under exactly the same model number. Previously only Apple has managed to accomplish such a similar feat. Some have dubbed S III as the iPhone killer….Read more at Forbes
