Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, or CMS, issued late on May 29, 2009 proposed regulatory changes regarding Medicare reimbursement for long-term acute care hospitals.CMS issued an interim final rule in which CMS is revising the relative payment weights that would apply to all discharges occurring between June 1, 2009 and September 30, 2009.
