Ominous Development
Please click here for a chart of S&P 500 ETF (SPY) which represents the benchmark stock market index S&P 500 (SPX).
Note the following:
- The chart shows that the market sold off until about 11am ET.
- We shared with you in the Morning Capsule that the momo crowd was selling.
- As the bad news from OPEC+ hit, the chart shows that the momo crowd started buying stocks aggressively.
- We shared with you in advance that Saudi Arabia and the U.A.E. might side with Russia against the U.S. Now it is official. The U.S. alliance with Saudi Arabia has almost collapsed. Saudi Arabia and U.A.E have picked a side – they chose Russia.
- OPEC+ has decided to cut production by 2M bpd.
- Saudi Arabia and U.A.E siding with Russia has ominous geopolitical implications in addition to running up the price of oil.
- If the price of oil runs up, it will make it harder for the Fed to pivot. This is negative for stocks.
- Expect momo gurus to come up with a new narrative to persuade their followers to buy stocks ahead of the critical jobs report Friday morning.
- We previously shared with you that credit default swaps of Credit Suisse (CS) were rising. This was a significant negative development for stocks and Credit Suisse. What did the momo crowd do? In response, the momo crowd aggressively bought the entire market, and they also bought Credit Suisse stock. The news is that credit default swaps of UBS are also rising. UBS is a very important Switzerland based global investment bank. The media is oblivious.
- The VUD indicator is the most sensitive measure of net supply demand in real-time. The orange represents net supply and the green represents net demand.
- The chart shows the VUD indicator switched to green this afternoon, indicating net demand for stocks.
