There is no way to know at this time from which company Apple is sourcing sapphire crystals, however our estimate is that demand for sapphire crystals will go up by about 10%.  RBCN is a major provider of sapphire crystals.  Another option to keep on the radar is GTAT, a company that makes manufacturing equipment for sapphire crystals.  No recommendation is being made on GTAT at this time.

Yesterday, Apple announced two new iPhones, iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.  Today, at an event in Beijing, Apple announced new iPhone availability at two smaller carriers, China Unicom and China Telecom, but no deal with the largest carrier, China Mobile.  Wall Street is venting its disappointment: Bank of America, UBS, and Credit Suisse are among the firms downgrading Apple.
