Samsung’s new venture with Best Buy will not hurt Apple. Samsung is teaming up with Best Buy to open Samsung ‘Experience’ boutiques within the big box electronics retailer’s stores. Samsung’s Experience boutiques will be about 460 square feet in Best Buy’s main stores and will be staffed by Samsung’s own employees. There should be 500 of the new boutiques opened by April 8, 2013. It is not a coincidence that the first day Galaxy S4 can be pre-ordered from AT&T is April 16. Apple is ready to introduce an old design by Steve Jobs as the next iPhone, perhaps called iPhone 5S, according to the San Francisco Examiner, reporting on comments Apple government liaison Michael Foulkes made to San Francisco District Attorney George Gascon. As if Apple needed more trouble, here comes a double whammy. First, Apple CEO Tim Cook had to apologize to the Chinese consumers. Second, Apple got a downgrade from a big Wall Street supporter. A popular new segment on China Central Television highlighted how Apple discriminated against Chinese consumers with its warranties and after-sales service.
