Facebook (FB) will start trading under the symbol META prior to the market open on June 9. Previously FB had stated that its symbol would change to MVRS. The news is that Sheryl Sandberg is leaving FB.
In our analysis, there is a strong management bench at FB, and Sandberg leaving will not have a material impact.
Smart Money
FB stock is rallying as of this writing and is trading at $197.01. Momo crowd buying is driving the stock higher. There is no smart money buying. However, there was smart money buying yesterday in after-hours when the stock dipped.
