To gain an edge, this is what you need to know today.
Treacherous Side Of The AI Trade
Please click here for a chart of Intel stock (INTC).
Note the following:
- The Morning Capsule is about the big picture, not an individual stock. The chart of INTC stock is being used to illustrate the point.
- The chart shows INTC shares are gapping down after earnings.
- The chart shows INTC’s high is $142.35. INTC is trading at $69.33 as of this writing in the premarket.
- The chart shows the Arora call to take partial profits on the core position at $130.53. The core INTC position is long from an average of $19.05.
- The chart shows the Arora buy zone for a trade around position was near the swing low and the Arora trade around position was exited near the swing high.
- The fact that INTC is down 51% is inline with the prior Arora call that many AI stocks could pull back 30% – 50%.
- The chart also shows the merit of the Arora approach of always taking partial profits and using trade around positions in addition to the core position.
- Intel earnings were not that bad, but the reaction is so severe because the momo crowd was buying INTC stock aggressively near the highs on margin and is now facing margin calls.
- Intel earnings and guidance were below whisper numbers due to slowing PC sales. In investors’ uber bullishness about AI, investors simply forgot that many AI companies like Intel also have their bread and butter business that should not be ignored.
- Now that INTC stock has fallen, investors need to look ahead. The future of AI is agentic AI. For agentic AI, CPUs are more efficient than GPUs. Intel is the leader in CPUs. From Intel’s conference call, Intel expects server CPU total addressable market (TAM) to rise to $200B over five years. As a reference, the present server CPU TAM is about $40B.
- Looking ahead, an actionable step for investors is to take a look at the new Arora trade around position buy zone shown on the chart.
- Investors should not underestimate the risk of margin calls potentially driving INTC stock lower than you would think.
- Just like Intel, for Amazon (AMZN), investors have been uber bullish about AI but forgot that Amazon has a very large retail business. AMZN stock has fallen after earnings due to slowing retail sales.
- Amazon earnings and guidance are below whisper numbers due to slowing retail sales.
- Again, investors need to look ahead, Amazon is projecting that AWS business could reach $1T in the next five to ten years. The reason behind such phenomenal growth is AI. As a reference, in Q3 2026 AWS reached an annual run rate of $184B, and the growth rate was 39% year-over-year.
- Back in 2022, The Arora Report was one of the first if not the first to make a high conviction call that a fortune was to be made in AI all the way to 2030 but at times it would be treacherous. Right now, investors are seeing the treacherous part. The best way to handle simultaneously being positioned for gains while protecting portfolios is to follow the Arora Protection Band.
- Just like Intel and Amazon, many AI companies that are being aggressively sold have bright futures. The reaction to earnings from Intel, Amazon, Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL), and Meta (META) also demonstrate the importance of proper diversification. For example, oil companies Shell (SHEL) and Chevron (CVX) are hitting new highs after reporting exceptional earnings. Both SHEL and CVX are in The Arora Report portfolio.
- Cryptos are coming under aggressive selling after the biggest ever crypto heist of $6.3B from Binance. Binance is the largest crypto trading platform in the world. Here is the key question for investors. If cryptos are not safe at the world’s largest trading platform, how safe are they at other platforms?
- Crypto investors should also get ahead of the curve and be thoughtful about quantum computing approaching the time when it will be able to break crypto encryption.
- Selling in gold started in Asia to meet margin calls on AI stocks. As of this writing, gold has fallen below $4000 as more margin calls are expected. As a reference, the momo crowd was aggressively buying gold around $5500.
- Silver is breaking below $50, again on margin calls. As a reference, the momo crowd was aggressively buying silver when it was above $100.
- Oil is rising as several tankers hit mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
- As an actionable item, the sum total of the foregoing is in the Arora Protection Band, which strikes the optimum balance between various crosscurrents. Please scroll down to see the Arora Protection Band. The Arora Protection Band is one of the large number of unique edges that are available to members of The Arora Report.
Magnificent Seven Money Flows
Most portfolios are now heavily concentrated in the Mag 7 stocks. For this reason, to get ahead and get an edge, investors need to dig below the surface of the Mag 7 stocks. It is equally important to rise above the noise of daily news on the Mag 7 stocks. The best way to get an edge, dig below the surface, and rise above the noise of the daily news is to pay attention to early money flows in the Mag 7 stocks on a daily basis. When there is significant news in the Mag 7 stocks that rises above the threshold of noise and impacts your entire portfolio, it is covered in the main section above.

Note for new members: Smart money often sells into the strength generated by momo crowd buying and buys into the weakness generated by momo crowd selling. Over a long period of time, investors come out ahead by adopting smart money’s ways. Smart money is an important indicator but is only one of hundreds of indicators that go into determining the Arora Protection Band and signals. Arora Protection Band And What To Do Now
It is important for investors to look ahead and not in the rearview mirror. The proprietary Arora Protection Band from The Arora Report is very popular. The Arora Protection Band puts all of the data, all of the indicators, all of the news, all of the crosscurrents, all of the models, and all of the analysis in an analytical framework that is easily actionable by investors.
Consider continuing to hold good, very long term, existing positions. Based on individual risk preference, consider holding *** in cash, Treasury bills, short term fixed income, or allocated to short-term tactical trades; and short to medium-term hedges of ***, and short term hedges of ***. This is a good way to protect yourself and participate in the upside at the same time.
You can determine your protection bands by adding cash to hedges. The high band of the protection is appropriate for those who are older or conservative. The low band of the protection is appropriate for those who are younger or aggressive. If you do not hedge, the total cash level should be more than stated above but significantly less than cash plus hedges.
A protection band of 0% would be very bullish and would indicate full investment with 0% in cash. A protection band of 100% would be very bearish and would indicate a need for aggressive protection with cash and hedges or aggressive short selling.
It is worth reminding that you cannot take advantage of new upcoming opportunities if you are not holding enough cash. When adjusting hedge levels, consider adjusting partial stop quantities for stock positions (non ETF); consider using wider stops on remaining quantities and also allowing more room for high beta stocks. High beta stocks are the ones that move more than the market.
Traditional 60/40 Portfolio
Probability based risk reward adjusted for inflation does not favor long duration strategic bond allocation at this time.
Those who want to stick to traditional 60% allocation to stocks and 40% to bonds may consider focusing on only high quality bonds and bonds of five year duration or less. Those willing to bring sophistication to their investing may consider using bond ETFs as tactical positions and not strategic positions at this time.

Note the following:
- The Morning Capsule is about the big picture, not an individual stock. The chart of GOOG stock is being used to illustrate the point.
- The chart shows GOOG stock is gapping down after earnings. GOOG stock is down over 11% as of this writing in the premarket.
- The chart shows GOOG stock drop of 29.5% from the peak.
- The reason GOOG stock is falling is because earnings show search growth has slowed. On the positive side, Alphabet’s cloud business is booming.
- In The Arora Report analysis, here are the key points for investors:

- Alphabet’s Q3 free cash flow was negative $9.065B.
- When GOOG stock was running over $400 as shown on the chart, most analysts were upgrading GOOG to strong buy ratings. Momo gurus were urging their followers to aggressively buy GOOG stock, claiming GOOG was the lowest risk way to profit from AI.
- When Wall Street was uber bullish on GOOG, The Arora Report Buy Now rating was NO and stayed NO. With the benefit of hindsight, The Arora Report’s call was prescient.

- Q3 GDP Chain Deflator Advanced came at 2.2% vs. 3.5% consensus.
- Initial jobless claims came at 194K vs. 196K consensus. This indicates that the jobs picture is stable in spite of massive layoffs in the tech sector.
- As an actionable item, the sum total of the foregoing is in the Arora Protection Band, which strikes the optimum balance between various crosscurrents. Market Reaction To Tech Earnings
Please click here for a chart of SK Hynix stock (SKHY).
Note the following:
- The Morning Capsule is about the big picture, not an individual stock. The chart of SKHY is being used to illustrate the point. SK Hynix is the second largest memory maker in the world. As we previously shared with you, 34% of the S&P 500 growth is coming from just two companies – SK Hynix competitor Micron (MU) and Nvidia (NVDA).
- The chart shows a 35% drop in SKHY stock from the high in September. This is a data point that shows the prior call from The Arora Report of a 30% – 50% drop in aggressive AI stocks has proven spot on.
- The chart shows the jump up in SKHY stock on earnings.
- RSI on the chart shows SKHY stock is not overbought even after the earnings jump.
- The SK Hynix outlook is very strong. Here are the key points:
- Operating profit came at 83.33T won vs. 76.72T won consensus. This is a 632.1% year-over-year increase.

- High bandwidth memory (HBM) that is used in AI will see price increases.
- SK Hynix competitor MU stock is seeing aggressive buying in the early trade. MU is in the Arora Report ZYX Buy portfolio long from an average of $21.77. MU is trading at $956.12 as of this writing in the premarket, representing a gain of 4292%.
- At a time when SK Hynix is adding confidence to the AI trade, disk drive manufacturer Seagate (STX) is throwing a monkey wrench. STX stock fell as low as $609 yesterday after hours. STX stock’s 52 week high is $1145. This represents a drop of 47%. Seagate earnings and projections were strong, but under the surface there are two issues:
- Exabyte growth is slowing.
- Gross margins are trending down.
- Even though demand for disk drives is higher than the supply due to AI, prudent investors should note that as we shared with you earlier, Seagate competitor Western Digital (WDC) had the same negative issues.
- In The Arora Report analysis, prudent investors should be concerned about a new supply that will come online down the road both in memory and in disk drives. Prudent investors should get ahead of the curve by anticipating supply and demand coming into balance.
- Two hyperscalers Microsoft (MSFT) and Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) will report earnings after the close. Blowout earnings are expected. However, The Arora Report will be mostly focused on capex and AI monetization as they will be the biggest drivers of these stocks going forward. Both Microsoft and Alphabet are in the ZYX Buy Core Model Portfolio. MSFT is long from an average of $32.88. MSFT is trading at $530.42 as of this writing in the premarket, representing a 1513% gain.
- The Fed will announce its rate decision today at 2pm ET. The market is expecting the Fed to leave interest rates unchanged.
- In the middle of bullishness this morning, oil has the potential to either add to the bullishness or bring the market down. Netanyahu block is ahead in Israel’s election as of this writing. Oil is rising on the prospect of Netanyahu staying on as prime minister.
- As an actionable item, the sum total of the foregoing is in the Arora Protection Band, which strikes the optimum balance between various crosscurrents. ANTHROPIC, SPACEX, AND META AI FINANCING DELUGE – MARKET HANDLING IS AN IMPORTANT DATA POINT
Oct 27, 2026
To gain an edge, this is what you need to know today.
AI Financing Deluge
Please click here for a chart of leverage semiconductor ETF (SOXL).
Note the following:
- Semiconductors reflect the AI trade, and SOXL is the momo crowd’s favorite.
- The chart shows SOXL has crossed back into zone 3. Zone 3, which was previously resistance, has now become support. This is a positive.
- RSI on the chart shows SOXL is no longer oversold.
- There is as a deluge of financing for AI:
- Anthropic has filed for IPO. The proposed valuation is $1.5T – $2T.
- Broadcom (AVGO) along with Wall Street firms Morgan Stanley (MS), Citi (C), Blackstone (BX), and Bank of America (BAC) have put together a $63B package for custom AI XPU accelerators for Anthropic.
- Meta (META) is expanding its total raise to $95B.
- SpaceX has raised $40B debt for financing GPU purchases.
- In The Arora Report analysis, how the markets handle this deluge of AI financing is an important data point. So far, the markets are handling it well, but prudent investors should keep an eye on future developments. As we previously shared with you in The Arora Report analysis, the biggest constraint to AI development will be the availability of capital.
- Oil pulling back is also helping the stock market in the early trade. Oil is pulling back on a statement attributed to Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei that he seeks a resolution to the Strait of Hormuz situation.
- There is a valuable data point from the price action in neoclouds including CoreWeave (CRWV), Nebius (NBIS), and IREN (IREN). Elon Musk’s statement that neoclouds are going to see guppy-level debt seems to have acted as a clearing event. CRWV, having traded as low as $51.24 yesterday, is trading at $57.70 as of this writing in the premarket. This is a positive development for the AI trade.
- Durable orders data is mixed. Here are the details:
- Durable orders came in at 1.8% vs 1.0% consensus.
- Durable orders ex-transportation came at 0.5% vs 0.6% consensus.
- Consumer confidence will be released at 10am ET and may be market moving.
- The FOMC meeting begins today. The Fed will announce its rate decision tomorrow at 2pm ET.
China
The yield on China’s five year bonds is trading close to its lowest level on record. It is trading at 1.356%. Low yields in China is of interest because it contrasts with rising yields in the U.S. and Europe.
Malaysia
Due to the war in the Middle East, many data centers that would have normally gone to the Middle East are now looking at Malaysia. If Malaysia ends up attracting a large number of data centers, it will be a huge positive. ZYX Emerging has covered Malaysia continuously for almost two decades.

High Earnings Bar
Please click here for a chart of leverage semiconductor ETF (SOXL).
Note the following:
- Semiconductors reflect the AI trade, and SOXL is the momo crowd’s favorite.
- The chart shows SOXL is attempting to rally this morning.
- The chart shows SOXL remains below the low band of zone 3 (resistance).
- RSI on the chart continues to show divergence.
- Prudent investors should carefully watch to see if SOXL is able to break above the low band of zone 3.
- 36% of S&P 500 companies are reporting earnings this week. Most notable are three Mag7 companies Microsoft (MSFT), Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL), and Amazon (AMZN).
- The bar for earnings is very high. In The Arora Report analysis, in this earnings heavy week, it is worth repeating what we have been sharing with you – earnings growth is heavily concentrated and that represents a serious risk. Prudent investors should note that only two companies Nvidia (NVDA) and Micron (MU) are responsible for 34% of earnings growth. Only 10 companies are responsible for two thirds of earnings growth.
- In the Arora Report analysis, availability of financing is likely to become a key constraint for AI going forward. While large, investment grade companies will be able to raise money, smaller companies will have difficulty. Jensen Huang of Nvidia and Hock Tan of Broadcom (AVGO) have already echoed this sentiment. Now, Elon Musk of SpaceX (SPCX) is piling in as he announced the largest ever financing for GPUs. Musk said, “As of the past few weeks, debt markets have almost entirely shut off access to money for any company that doesn’t have substantial revenue independent of AI data centers. SpaceX closed $40B of debt for GPUs, but we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue. That means the 200+ neoclouds are going to see guppy-level death and consolidation. Some will make it through, but not many.”
- As the race for financing AI continues, Meta is offering $35B of underwritten public offerings consisting of $22.5B of Class A common stock and $12.5B of depositary shares representing preferred stock.
